The site I give below says for a VR 3-8 years post V, sperm return is seen in 88% with a pg rate of 53%. My best advice would be to do the VR with a skilled VR microsurgeon that makes VR his specialty. You will need a doctor that does VR on a DAILY basis. How much does it cost? Some docs do it as a ministry and under local, so they don’t charge much (still around $2000) but others do it at a hospital and under general (that can cost $15,000+) Ours charged $7000, did it under general at his own clinic. (BTW it worked.) I would bank sperm at the time of reversal in case the VR fails. I would not use TESTE (sperm aspiration) because it’s an artificial way to get pg (I like doing it the old fashioned way and ttc’ing without hormones). Plus TESTE with IVF costs so much per try. With a successful VR, you have restored fertility forever so you can ttc as many times as you want. Plus there are many health benefits to having a vasectomy reversed. And finally when sperm is aspirated with a needle, the process can lead to scarring which makes later attempts at a vasectomy reversal more difficult.
