I would use a donor again, I would use the same donor as the one you have already used. Traits in the baby will be more alike. There is no guarantee that a reversal will work.

Good luck

I am a pro-VR gal, but you got to decide what is best for you. Most VR's will cost you between $1500 and $10,000...you're probably asking, "Why such a price range?" Well, it depends on location, experience, and the complication of the VR surgery itself...with the longer the time vasectomized, the more likely a more complicated surgery (a VE vs. a V V) type of reversal. That doesn't mean that an "older" vasectomy can't be reversed successfully. One plus to VR is that you can try for every month for the next couple of years to conceive. The downside is the initial expense and even then, you don't know if you'll get good enough counts to conceive with. BTW, our reversal cost us $7000 and it worked (and I'm 38 years old). GL with your decision.
