a reversal after so much time, your chances will prob be about 10%. a good friend of my wanted to get his reversed at 9 years post op, and they gave him only a 25% chance of it working.

The best way to ensure you have a good chance is to really research the doctor that will be performing the reversal. Ask for recommendations on a doctor. Try and find a uroligist that specializes in fertility. There aren’t a lot of them in the US…but there are SOME. I know of 2 in the NY area and one in the Texas area.

You want to make sure you are in the best hands possible for this so there is lack of scarring.

With the right care your chances will be as good as if you had never had it done in the first place

Depends on how the procedure was done. Some are reversible, some aren’t. If it’s reversible, you should do just fine!

There is a great chart graph about reversal success rates which takes into account the length of time since your vasectomy. Check it out: http://www.vasweb.com/results_chart.htm….

Unlike a vasectomy, most insurance plans do not cover the cost of reversal surgery, which can range from about $5,000 to $13,000. Although this is usually an elective, fee-for-service procedure, there are ways to make this expense more affordable. http://www.vasectomy.com/articledetail.a...

I wish you luck….
