It could be a sperm granuloma if some sperm leaked between the stitches of the vas deferens. I would think it unlikely though since most healing is pretty much done within four days of the reversal (it gets sealed together in 4 days although the strength of the reconnection isn’t that great for awhile). We were told to wait 28 days…I’ve heard others are told to wait 15-21 days; and a few doctors recomment only a couple days of waiting. Most reputable doctors recommend at least 10 days (like yours did). Maybe the sex just moved the old blood from the VR around. I’d check with the VR doctor, but as long as your dh isn’t in pain and the swelling is better now, I’d say you are "good to go"!
Can you say "Urologist"?
GO SEE THE DOCTOR!!! What are you waiting for???
Go back to your doctor. It could be an infection or a cyst. Infections are very common with vasectomies or reversals.
Ring NHS helpline- they are there for just such problems.
It could just be scar tissue from the operation. There are small lumpps from the original vascectomy also, but sewing the tube back together, and being so soon after the operation, may make the lump bigger. He should check with his urologist. Besides, he probably needs to provide a specimen for a sperm count, so he knows if it worked or not.
Lots of caressing and kissing helps the pain go away. Treat him nice — he did a big thing for you!
HELLO,
HAVE HIS DOC CHECK HIM OUT TO BE SURE THIS IS JUST A NORMAL POSTOPERATIVE EVENT AND NOT MORE SERIOUS LIKE TESTICULAR CANCER.
If it is painless, it is nothing to worry about. Only postpone sex for a few days more. Painful may be a collection of pus and needs doc’s attention. Good luck!
go / back/ to Dr/ DUH!!!
this could be a case of him reacting to the treatment, however it could also be a tumour or could be an infection. but its probably nothing to worry about until he gets an x-ray done.
most likely that its an infection from the vasectomy. he should go and get it checked out.
You should have waited atleast one month for sex.You have to see doctor again urgently.
u have given him the clap
It would be a good idea to contact the doctor that performed the vasectomy reversal. Your partner should let the doctor know about his recovery and the lump he detected.
eww…..umm go and see a doctor dear dont make it public on yahoo answers!
how embarassing for him!
