turn the ring off on my blackberry 8100?

i put my prepaid att sim label in a blackberry 8100 as well as when a presentation comes up with my comment change upon it a phone rings, as well as i cant figure out how to spin which ring off. has any one else had a same complaint as well as if so can we assistance me repair it?

You need to modify your profiles.

Go to profiles > scroll down to advanced > highlight the active profile and hit the menu button > select edit.

You will need to find out how the account balance notification arrives, if it arrives via SMS change the sms notification "ring tone" and/or volume.

Also note, the message might be arriving as a "level 1" message, so this might be why you are hearing a different tone. Check what tone you have set for "level 1" messages. If you don’t know which message profile to change, change them all to silent except for SMS and Phone.
