Is it possible to ask for personal leave? Does your company have maternity benefits? If it does you should try to stay in good grace, in case you want to work after the baby is born. Why not have a frank discussion with your personnel manager before making the decision to quit. Jobs are hard to find these days, and i think its gonna get worse before better. Maybe you can celebrate easter with your son on another day. At 4 years of age, is he gonna be that picky or just glad to get easter eggs & candy & some special time with his Mom?
