So, it is an option, but so are condoms, IUD’s, oral contraceptives for women, and many other birth control methods exist that are quite effective (up to 99% effective, like vasectomy).

I was 21. I am 43 with no regrets. I have no children. I only wish more of my friends did the same, so they would not wine so much.
They expect me to offer up a shoulder when they can not pay their bills due to the high child support installments. It was their choice. Back when I had mine a few of them told me I was giving up a big part of manhood. Maybe I have it all wrong, but I think the guy who is crying in his beer lost something, not me.

Reversals are a waste of money. Keep in mind that vasectomy reversal doctors want money and they are more than willing to sell "false hope" to get it.

Until recently belonged to a “child-free” club. Most men and women in “child-free” clubs obtain sterilization in their early 20’s. Most of the members were well into their 40’s and 50’s. If there were anyone with regrets they would hardly be members of a “child-free” club sitting around drinking and laughing.
Anyway, the net of the matter is if you want to have a passport full of stamps, a good education, a Rolex, and to look 10 years younger than your real age, then do not have children. If you want to be a lemming then by all means do what most people do.

I’m only 22, and I don’t want to do that, b/c I’d like to be a dad someday. However, If you are sure you want to live a childfree lifestyle go ahead and do it. That’s all I can say about this. Also Kiene, not all men go and make a child and leave a woman. There are men who are happily married w/ kids who don’t pay child support, they share the responsibilities w/ their spouse.
Anyway, be sure to discuss this w/ whomever you want to be w/(assuming you are looking for a mate). Discuss the fact that you don’t want kids.
