hi everyone, my father had the vasectomy annulment finished in late October. we had the initial sa finished in the center of Feb. dr. the did the SA pronounced it showed Zero spermatazoa .. good we eventually asked for the copy. we only got it faxed. the shows .05 % with 50-80%motility . my regard is or we competence contend what we am so dissapoint about .. is the dr. told us it showed no spermatazoa during all. 0 is zero. not .05 even yet really low. still the little have been present. they finished the inapplicable designation by not realizing , even yet it was obviously settled this weas for the annulment not the vasectomy. so we am seeking as well as notices upon this SA piece .. they put N/A for multiform things. we consider they were not even seeking for sperm. . this is not the initial time they haev finished the mistake. prolonged story reduced . First what does the numbers mean? as well as 2nd what should be my subsequent step? smiles, angie

wow we have been the best. we still can NOT belive they told us ZERO as well as never gave us the duplicate until we demanded it . Although they did suggest to do IVF. idiots. we have been the best.. interjection so much. Angie

I think you should call the doctor and get the results explained. I’d then see about getting a second test done. When my husband had his reversal, his count was low (dont recall exact numbers). It was depressing, but we tried anyways. A year later I was pregnant. Please don’t let those numbers discourage you from trying. It only takes 1 good swimmer to get pregnant!
As far as I can tell, .05 is a very low number, and is your percentage of how many sperm are present in the specimen. The 50-80% means that what he does have in the specimen is over 50% healthy sperm that could get up there to make a baby. So few sperm, but healthy sperm.

Vasectomy reversals are a bit of a farce to start with. I am sure the doctor told you he gets a 75% success rate or something. Well, he is not telling you the truth. Odds are the reversal is not going to work (less than 30% chance). He is just telling you whatever it takes to keep you giving him more money. I am willing to speculate that he ether never looked at the results, or just skimmed them over.

If he is willing to lie about his success rate, why would be bother to take the time to read the results of the analysis?

Theres not actualy much difference in that count from 0 to 0.5, I know there are some, but to be honest not enough for you to get pregnant. My husbands last count was 3 million, and at that I was told there was no chance of me getting pregnant, there was only a slim chance of them even being able to get a healthy sperm for IVF……the n/a they put for some of the tests would have been because there wasnt enough sperm for them to actually test for it, we asked about that after my husbands and were told that.

I would ask for a repeat test in a few months time and see if there is any improvement, after a reversal it can take up to a year for the sperm to come back up to normal levels so just be patient and test again.
