My friend’s hubby had a vasectomy about 3 years ago.Due to business changes they right away wish an additional baby. How most is a reversal? And she pronounced she has listened of a Doctor regulating IVF instead of we do a reversal.Taking "good" spermatazoa from him as well as implanting it in to her.Have we ever listened of this? If so,how most does this procession cost? Any info we have would be great. Thanks:)

MESE, PESE, or TESE are all ways sperm are aspirated from the testicles or the epididymis. In sperm aspiration, the sperm taken must be used for IVF and cannot be used in IUI because aspirated sperm are "immature" sperm that cannot swim well or penetrate and fertilize an egg on their own. These procedures also result in a low number of sperm being harvested. IVF is very expensive. You are looking at about a $20,000 total cost between sperm and egg harvesting and implanting of an embryo per round of IVF. Problem is, even then, it doesn’t mean a pg will result. Each round has around a 20% chance of success. And IVF often results in multiple births (think of the octomom). My first link below explains about sperm extraction through aspiration and the costs. A reversal costs much less and gives you multiple chances at acheiving a pg. VR’s cost from anywhere of $1,800 to $15,000. Ours cost $7,000. Probably the best thing about getting a vasectomy reversal is that since things are put back into original working order, you can conceive the "old fashioned way" in the privacy of your bedroom. My second link is to a site that shows different doctors and their prices.

this is used as a solution compared to jumping back and forth from having his wang "on" or "off". it is an offer made so that he doesnt have to have his wang turned on, have his kid, then turned off again. its just a simpler cost efficient idea that makes sense in my opinion. =)

about 20,000 to 50,000 usually dont work

I believe that it is more cost effective to have the IVF done rather than doing a reversal. The reversal is not always going to work (I am not sure of the percentage but it pretty low). They could get better results by doing the IVF.

Really, your friend and her husband should be talking to a doctor about all of this because there is a lot of information out there.

VERY expensive. Both a reversal and IVF cost between 10 and 20 thousand dollars with low success rates. It is elective, so insurance will not normally pay anything.

My husband got a vasectomy 3 months ago and the Dr explained all of this to us.

i didnt even know men could get that, thats gross

stupid fool for having this done
