The only person who can really answer this question is your doctor. I would suggest making an appointment and discussing your options with them. Good luck!
Just adopt. You only have the reversal as another option.
The most accurate information you will get, I imagine would come from your doctor…don’t you think so?
My husband had a vasectomy in the Navy too. He’s out now and in Feb he had it reversed by a wonderful doctor in Tx. He only charged 2000.00 for it. It hasnt worked yet, it was technically a success because he has sperm. The army should pay for a reversal though. I think you have to be put on a waiting list. If you want to research more, go to Ivilliage Vasectomy Reversal board. There are a lot of wonderful women there and they have a lot of good information. As for sperm retrievial, that is not always a success and it is expensive. Vas reversal would be your best bet! Good Luck to you
Jordan M nailed it, talk to your doctor.
You can have sex every day and visit the doctor every day after you have sexed and I think that it is a good thing to do thats what me and my wife do.
I agree about asking your doctor and someone at the Army/ V.A. to find out the info that you are asking for. I have heard about what you said about removing sperm and placing it into the woman. I am sure that is true. But again you need to ask your doctor so you will know for sure. Good Luck and Congrats if you get this done.
You’ll have to ask the Army these questions. Unless we are Dr’s and in the Army how do we know?
There is another option that can help you Mellissa …. Let someone else get you pregnant. I would be very happy to give you a good sample of sperm if you would like to get artificially inserted.
