mexico and att prepaid?

im starting to mexico shortly
i have the PREPAiD sim label for att will it work in mexico? i usually make use of it for texting so will it still work or will it contend similar to in motion or something or use unavailable? appreciate you
if it wouldnt work what else can i do on top of buy the sim label form mexico

It will work alright but its gonna be roaming and it will cost you a lot more than you think. I suggest get a prepaid sim card in Mexico and use that for texting. For calls, get a pay as you go prepaid phone card online like Onesuite.com so you can make cheap calls.
