Hi, My Land Rover LR3 code brand new 2006 purchased 04/01/06 given afterwards we have "Check Engine" light upon for no reason. no gas lid open or anything we did. we took to a play as well as they bound with reprogram mechanism as well as such. Finally 3 days ago 8 opposite light upon during indicator as well as involuntary shift doesn’t shift so we had to gathering 10-20 miles upon 45 miles street(which is meant people pushing 50-55mil) The day purchased this automobile has already "Check engine" light on, though they pronounced it’s infrequently occur so move behind alternative day to fix. Now we satisfied we should returned upon a day we purchased. Now seems Lamon Law is germane for my case, though play pronounced "Check Engine" light upon equates to could lot of opposite reason so it is not same reason they bound 3 times. Now 8 lights together with "Check Engine" upon as well as they referred to which Lemon isn’t fit for my case. Is which unequivocally not fit for Lemon box for "Check Engine" light came upon some-more than3? we consider they destroy to repair it in a past so it was outrageous repair happened.
my automobile is in emporium given October 4th, Send email to Land Rover conduct office. After 3 emailed they called currently though no referred to transposed car. They pronounced wait for compartment subsequent Tuesday though we do not certitude my automobile any more as well as I’m not happy with dealership which strengthen themselves than listening business opinion. We have small argue(they pronounced no fit for Lemon, we pronounced we need leagal advice) to get make use of story yesterday so we do not wish go behind there anymore. If a dealership isn’t great patron service, because a people wish to make use of them.

Save yourself a great deal of frustration and ulcers. Collect ALL of your documentation (repair records, warranty claims etc.) and make contact with your state’s Automotive watchdog agency. They usually operate out of the state’s attorney generals office.
They are the ones who administer and enforce the law. They can tell yo straight up and don’t have an ax to grind.
However, though the "Check Engine" light keeps illuminating, there are many causes.
According to Federal law, the light should only come on when the computer has detected a fault or failure in a circuit or system it monitors that has the potential of causing emissions to rise above permissible standards.
That light is to come on for no other reason.
It can come on because the fuel cap is loose, or because the computer cannot communicate with a transmission sensor.
Take ALL of your information with you, and ask the agency (in California it is the Bureau of Automotive Repair) to open an investigation, or explain to you why it isn’t necessary.
Good Luck
That happened to me with my car when i got it new my SRS light was coming and staying on, some sensor or something, after getting ti fixed like 5 times, i just gave up. Its still on and my car is fine 6 years later.
Well if you got this thing and you didn’t bring it back on the day it went nuts, does not have anything to do with it. If you got it what kind of warranty does it have. Most car places come with something.
Are you paying for these repairs?
If so run do not walk and get an attorney It sounds like thy are putting you off untill the warranty then you are stuck with the car.
Tell these bozos to fix the dam thing or give you back your money.
You seem to have a ghost in your circuits or wiring, Had a Saab with similar problems and dealers do not want to deal with the lemon issue. You need to go higher up to an area block manager or district manager. If still no help, go right to the top or as high as they will let you. You have a reason for satisfaction and I know that the factory will not want any bad mouthing of their product. I wound up taking my Saab back to the factory and they kept it for three days and gutted out all the electronics and wiring and put all new components in and I never had any more problems.
Listen to me. I was in the same boat as you. I finally asked the dealership to take the car back or I would pursue lemon law, and they just blew me off. I still remember the manager telling me "your car doesn’t fall under lemon law and there is nothing that can be done." I called a lemon law laywer, and nearly 3 weeks later, the dealer had to take the car back. You should have seen the look on the managers face as I left him the car….
The dealership will just give you the run-around, even when I had the warranty, they still didn’t help me. just call a lawyer.
Leave with your Land Rover dealer. Talk to their service director. Leave a detailed report of what happened with the past repairs and that he is not to return the vehicle until the repairs are corrected to his satisfaction. Have them provide a loaner car (at no charge). Note the mileage of your Land Rover when you leave the vehicle and the mileage on picking up. Make sure you receive copies of the repairs done every time you leave the dealership. It appears that the vehicle has been in at least 3 times. If the next attempt doesn’t take care of the repairs, contact your local consumer affairs office and or the BBB office for additional help.
