Your probably talking fraud if you say everything is fine with car. Check out private sales laws. some states have lemon laws for private sales as well as dealer sales

Maybe it just needs water and some sealer in your radiator.If you sell the car as is there could be anything wrong and you don’t have to say.
Im sorry to say but you have to let them know ,,UNLESS you sell as is.this way you wont wind up in court.AS IS Is like insurance,you can ask your selling price as is.

you can sell as is ,but you should mention the over heating. It may be the water pump, or the radiator, or the thermostat, or a fan motor ,or………???? Do not lie to people. It’s a bad habit to get into. Why don’t you find out the real problem. It may not be as expensive to fix as you think.

Used cars are sold "as is". You are not obligated to tell a buyer about the water pump. What you are required to tell, is if the title has a brand, such as salvage/rebuilt.
As for the temp, it may not be the water pump at all, it could be the radiator cap, the thermostat, you may need an engine flush………………..all combined are less than 500. Find out what is really wrong and take it from there, no sense selling a car cuz you need a 5.00 item to make a repair.
