okay.
barely a month ago, 3/13/2010 to be exact, i paid for my 97 travel taurus from a approved dealership in dearborn MI
the dealership was offered a automobile for 2000 dollars, though i talked them in to knocking it down a couple of hundred.
i was during a dealership for a prolonged time checking a car, pushing it around, i was starting to have a automechanic with me though it was a saturday as well as there was already an additional intensity patron entrance in to buy it a subsequent day.
now, this "dealership" was some-more similar to a square of crap junkyard which refurbishes cars.
after prolonged discussion, job of countless people who know about cars, as well as asking consummate questions about what could presumably be wrong with this car, a dealers positive me which a automobile had positively zero wrong with it.
i did know of a single thing… a headlights didnt work.
that said, i havent been means to expostulate during all really. until about 6pm afterwards i conduct home. as well as i dont leave a residence until 2-3pm. as well as if i go anywhere, it’s a grocery store or a couple of places up a road. i have not trafficked prolonged distances AT ALL.
a couple of days after i got a automobile off a lot, i was sitting in a parking lot of automobile zone, given certain enough, a battery died a day i got home with a car.
while i was sitting there, a antifreeze bin exploded, duration upon a inside of a car, a prohibited as well as cold guard was during a undiluted turn in between….
okay, so right away you have a coolant problem..
i call a play as well as i say, "look, i know i paid for a automobile as well as right away it’s zero i can do about it, let me know what a genuine complaint with this automobile is"
his response
"i didnt unequivocally demeanour during a automobile male you only got it up as well as using to get off a lot"
and he hung up.
basically certified to fraudulence.

now, a couple of weeks after that, as well as minimal pushing given anything longer than 10 mins upon a highway a antifreeze explodes, a automobile is rough! it is severe riding.
i took it to get an research during a automobile emporium as well as here is what all is wrong with it…

rear pads as well as rotor
struts all a approach around
right front lean club is utterly damaged to a indicate if i strike a pothole a tires would be off as well as i could potentially be killed or someone else could.
right as well as left middle as well as outdoor tire rods
coil
radiator
radiator hose

all of which together, is about 2000-3000 dollars.

and today, i was during a preservation store, as well as get ready to go home, as well as a automobile stops branch over as well as white fume came out from a alternator.
and right away a generator of electric power is done.

i was only wondering if there is any law which i can get a reimbursement, sue a company, if there is a lemon law opposite this.

everyone is revelation me which a lean club is a large understanding given i am a customer, not a mechanic, i am ostensible to certitude a play in meaningful which if i expostulate a automobile i am starting to be safe. there has to be a law opposite this fraudulence.
i had no thought any of this was wrong with it, similar to i said, it gathering good off a lot.

please dont be cocky or contend any reticent things about travel or how i should have known, i am literally only wondering if there is anything i can do.
i am starting t review a laws for myself, though any adivse or believe upon anyones finish can unequivocally help.
thank you
to be frank, all of these problems did crop up out of nowhere, do you consider i am similar to dual tracking in a woods perplexing to hurt a automobile to get a lawsuit? i am a college tyro with 2 jobs as well as i need as most of a mangle as i can get, as well as being a patron how am i ostensible to know? i didnt know a headlights didnt work until i went to expostulate it a night i paid for it as well as i couldnt drive.
and lets dont think about about a lemon law, contend i am not qualified… is there anything i can do to take them to court?
is there a intensity box opposite them, to conceivably only get them to repair these things for free, or reinstate my money, or give me a brand new car, or something? i am peaceful to only get a automobile fixed, with a list of things which have been wrong with it for free, they missrepresented a automobile with a ad as well as they skewed it in chairman by carrying a discerning forgive to all you forked out as well as carrying no complaint fibbing to a faces observant there is positively zero wrong with a car. i havent gathering though twenty-five miles if which given i paid for a damn thing.

Every state has different "lemon" laws, but you probably don’t meet the standard for any of them. Typically the lemon part means that the dealership has fixed the problem a number of times within a span of a certain amount of time and has been unsuccessful. Therefore implying that the car is actually un-fixable.

Buying a car "as is" is sticky business. The only way you have a legal remedy without a warranty is if you can prove that the dealership knew all of these things were definitely broken and deliberately and specifically lied to you.

Always, always, have piece of crap cars checked out by a mechanic. I don’t mean because it’s a Ford either, there’s a reason a car’s value drops that low.

In most states you must take the car to a license mechanic before you purchase the item. If you did not than you cannot claim that the lemon law was violated. If you can prove that they misrepresented the car in any way, you may be able to take it back or have a judge reverse the sale. But if not, then your screwed.

It’s sold AS IS.

Some states has a 7 day policy, meaning if you took it to a mechanic within 7 days then you can declare it a lemon. However, we wouldn’t know this if we don’t know you state.

I’m pretty sure lemon laws are only for "new" products, this would not fall under any such laws. You may be able to file a lawsuit against the "dealership," but it’s probably not worth the hassle. My advice: Accept the losses, get what u can out of the car, and get something else..

You bought the car "as is". I really have a hard time believing that all these problems just appeared out of no where. And really, if you knew the headlights didn’t work, that alone would be a red flag,

no lemon law for used jalopies
what did you expect for $1700
