No, there is no Lemon Law for this type of situation.
Your only recourse would be small-claims court, but you’d have virtually a slim-to-none chance of winning. It would be a "he-said, she-said" battle, and without anything in writing you’d be sunk.
No. The "lemon law" does not apply to used cars. As-is means just that.
The lemon law doesn’t apply to most used cars. If it was falsely advertised, and you can prove it then maybe. The lemon law also usually doesn’t apply to a car bought from a private seller.
No AS IS no warranty and lemon laws cover new cars………..ujn
The transmission can be bad without it showing in the fluid. Here are questions you need to answer:
Was the car bought at a dealer or privately?
How long ago?
Did you raise the issue of the transmission at the time of sale?
WHY DID YOU BUY A USED CAR WITH A HARD SHIFT???????
You shot yourself in the foot. There is no lemon law. You bought the car after being told (as I understand it) that the transmission shifts hard. You should have walked away at that point – you had a chance. Now you’re stuck with it.
Sorry.
