How could there be a lemon law for used cars? That’s ridiculous. I’ll tell you what there is, though – there is a Federal law that requires dealers to desplay on EVERY used car whether it’s being sold as-is or whether there’s a warranty.

So you already know whether you bought it as-is.

Now, remember, nobody knows the future. It’s your car, and it’s your responsibility. You can’t turn back the clock and pretend everybody knows it’s going to have a problem in the future. Nobody knows that.

Depends who you buy it from! I know i bought a car from JD Byrider, there the worst car place in history never buy a car from there! If you bought your car from a place that helps people with no credit, chances are your screwed because thats what they do!

There is some info on the net about illinois lemon laws. Supposedly some dealers claim that if there is a problem that they would fix it because they dont want to have a unsatisified customer. I dont know if they were just saying that to try to sell me the car or not (I still didn’t buy it cuz I didn’t trust ‘em) but it’s worth a try.

I dint think there is for used ones in IL. As for the anti freeze it maybe brownish because they have mixed the green anti freeze, with the red kind that GM uses in most of its newer cars. Get rid of the anti freeze as in back flush it. and fill it with the good old green anti freeze. I know of to many people have problems with the red kind in GM’s. It tends to eat away the gaskets "esp. with the 3.4L" Eng. There is 8 states including IL trying to get GM to do a recall on it but so far a Fed. Judge keeps saying no to it.
