Lemon Law applies as long as the factory warranty is still in effect.

It also only applies if a reasonable amount of repairs have been made on one specific problem but cant be fixed. Doen not apply if u got 20 different problems but all were fixed.

There's no specific definition as to what reasonable attempt means..... its open to different interpretations. If it ever happens to me I'd contact the manufacturer after the 3rd failed attempt.

The lemon law applies to new cars, and the same defect repair attempted 5 times. Contact: www.safercar.gov.

Usually the lemon law is for 30 or 60 days after purchase. It depends which state where you live as to the rules. Call your Attorney General's office on Tuesday and ask.

I don't think time is the issue as much as it is the EXACT same problem that the dealer could not correct after 4 tries.

If they fix it after 4 tries, you have have a dozen other issues but unless they get 4 cracks at solving 1 problem, you have ZERO chance of winning a lemon lawsuit.

But no worries. Half the posters here think used cars come with lemon law protection. You are bound to get an answer you like. As wrong as it is.

In addition to the good stuff already posted, don't think that if you do get to proceed with Lemon Law filing, that you are in the clear.

Often times, you end up paying up for the length of time you have used the vehicle, IE, depreciation charges.

Like these examples, so really think this over:
