About the same as it is today, but the idea is that you did it permanently. No backsies

Hi

Not sure exactly what you are asking. OK I will not tell you off for something you have already done. But to be honest I would never suggest a vasectomy to a guy who is contemplating a reversal at any stage. But maybe you have changed your mind since then – how you can change your mind for "in 9 years time" I do not know.
Vasectomy reversal you are right is less effective after time,

In the following table I am giving you there are some averages. The first figure is for sperm production. That means that the guy can produce semen that contains sperm that can be found. It does not mean if you produce sperm that you can get someone pregnant. So in the first figure almost all men who have a vasectomy reversal within 3 years can produce sperm.(97%) But that figure reduces to 76% when we ask " And can he get a woman pregnant?" I am giving the second figure since being able to produce sperm might make some people satisfied whereas the second figure is the more important if you want to be a father again.

The second figure presumes that the man is with a woman who is fertile and of child bearing age.

Averages are always just that the result of statistics gathering. You might be at one extreme or the other. So no guarantees.

Under 3 years 97%76%
3-8 years 88%53%
9-14 years 79%44%
Greater than 15 years 71%30%

My figures are for my own country they may vary in yours but are a fair average for you to go by. So your chances of being a father again would be less than 50%. Cheers

Quite effectual as my partner wants to reverse his (8 years down the line), he only had it done for his ex and is now hoping for more kids with me (at some point).

We have been told they can do it, but only after a quite expensive and subsatantual operation. However the longer ago you did it the harder it is to reverse.

mine didn’t work, reversed after 5 years.
would never have had it done in the first place if I’d known the real chances of reversal.

the longer you leave it the worse, your body creates antibodies to the sperm and kills them, it gets better at killing them as time goes on.

The problem with the statistics is they fail to tell you that IVF was required for a successful pregnancy after a vasectomy. They also fail to tell you that it usually takes 2 to 3 years to conceive.

Do not waste your money. Adopt!

Vasectomy reversal is majorly unethical. Honestly how to you expect to teach your child about actions and consequences when you are avoiding the consequences of your own decision? Think about it.
