Dr. Sherman J. Silber (St. Louis) is the vasectomy reversal specialist in your area. He is a "pioneer" in the field and very highly skilled. He also is one of the more expensive reversal surgeons that I know of. I’m thinking around $8,000 to $10,000, maybe more?) I’m sure there are others in your location, but I personally would only go to a specialist. You may consider traveling to another place. Dr. Gatewood of Florida is highly skilled and costs about $5500. Dr. Wilson of Oklahoma is excellent for new vasectomies that require only a VV reconnection and he charges around $1900. Dr. Roeder and Dr. Cary Leverett of Texas are good and they charge only $2300. They both do VV as well as VE reconnections. Make sure you only go to a highly skilled and experienced microsurgeon. You can also search engine any of the above doctors’ names and visit their own personal websites. (Dr. Silber’s site is one of the best. He has lots of reversal information.) We went to Dr. Douglas Schow and he charged $7000. It worked. Small price to pay really to be put back together whole and to be able to have another child.
