I not long ago paid for a salvaged automobile from a tiny dealership as well as it has been giving me delivery problems. I’ve already taken it to them twice to correct it as well as it still gives me a same problem. we wish to know if we validate for a lemon law. Please help. Thanks

um no.

You knowingly bought a car that had major issues at some point. No law, anywhere, of any type will help you when you voluntarily buy a car that, at some point, was branded as salvage.

The cheap comes out expensive.

Lemon laws were never designed to cover stuff from a junk yard. Anyone who would buy a salvage vehicle should be aware that "salvage" is just a nice way to say "junk". It’s sort of like calling a garbage collector a "sanitation engineer". Sounds fancy but doesn’t change the facts.

NO !

I agree with mustanger about the fact that you probably shouldn’t expect coverage under the law for your purchase of a salvaged automobile. However, if we’re right about that, then I disagree with him and suggest you try to find a salvaged transmission to replace yours. Although the car the part came from may be "junk", many of components in it are perfectly functional, and are thus "salvaged". I use http://www.car-part.com to find replacement parts from low-mileage (or sometimes new) vehicles that were written off as total losses. Indeed, a lot of these places now (rightly) call themselves "automotive recyclers". I hope this helps…

did you buy the car from a lemon tree?

Seriously… best Lemon Law question EVER!!! I wish Y!A had a "Best Of" section, similar to Craigslist.

(No, salvaged cars are NEVER covered under any Lemon Law.)

Please somebody tell me he’s kidding.

Yes, you get ALL your money back at ANY time in the future. Also interest on your money too.

All you have to do is ask.

The dealer will really get a kick out of you "knowing" your rights via the lemon law. In fact, they might give you twice your money back AND let you keep the car to boot !

Nope. Your car was scrapped for salvage value, you have no legal recourse whatsoever.
