I paid for a puppy from breeder, as well as sealed sale agreement. On agreement settled that, customer MUST move a puppy to vetertinarian for check up inside of 72 hours. If a puppy is non-professional customer need to acquire a veterinary acceptance that a puppy is non-professional in sequence to get full refund. But we brought a puppy to vet. after 1 week as well as a puppy died. Now, we should follow a house pet lemon law or sale agreement? On lemon law a time extent is fourteen days BUT upon agreement we had sealed is 3 days; that a single should we tentative on?

If your area has a 14 day rule…that is the standard. I can have you sign a contract saying you are my slave, but slavery is illegal, hence it wouldn’t be a valid contract. I would make one more attempt at asking the pet dealer for your money back….and then i’d sue him in small claims court.

You will have to consult someone that practices law in your community to give you an accurate opinion of your situation. However, if the agreement is truly in conflict with your local law, then the agreement would likely be found unenforceable by a judge.

Generally speaking, a private contract cannot void public policy. Since the law says the breeder much offer a 14 day guarantee, the "3 day" contract stipulation is most likely void.

But check with your local authorities.
