Can I keep my phone number when switching from T-Mobile's prepaid plan to a regular Verizon/Att plan?

I now am regulating a T-mobile prepaid phone. If we wish to switch to something similar to a iphone or Droid, can we keep my number? My regard is which prepaid phones numbers have been someway opposite than month to month numbers.

well, if its att, or any gsm phone, u can just switch sim cards…and stick to prepiad/monthly by tmobile. Or if you want the 2 yr contract by att, just tell them to import ur number, same thing with verizon except u cant switch sim card…coz duhh its CDMA (duznt hav sum card) if wants further help u can email me lookatme533@yahoo.com

In some instances they are different, but not always. You can go onto either Verizon’s or AT&T’s web site and actually put in your phone number to check and see if it can be ported.

You can check Verizon here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/LNPControllerServlet

BTW, I would highly recommend the Droid. I have it and love it!
