where are you going to live? write a letter explaining the situation, but be prepared to have to find a person to sublease.
Any landlord would be crazy to make you stay and not pay when they could have a paying renter in there.

Anyway you could speak with you rental office and explain situation. I had to get out of a lease once but I had a roommate so my roommate just had to give authorization to the office and have the lease put in his name only. If you don’t have a roommate chances are probably pretty slim. Maybe they would let you sub-lease it, find another person to rent it to till your lease is up.
