i am not familiar with Ideal Image, but I have had laser hair removal done at my dermatologists office using an IPL laser. I have rather light skin and very dark brown hair and feel for you. It is huge pain in the rear and unfortunately hereditary in my family.
you can have freshly shaven skin actually to have laser done. It is not like waxing or tweezing where it has to be a certain length.
my doctor charges me $200 for my face.
I have had 10 sessions on my face and still not done.
When I can afford the sessions, my doctor tells me to wait 3 – 4 months between treatments.
my skin gets read for about 30 minutes after the treatment.
it feels like a very tight rubber band snapping on your skin.
I have a high pain threshhold and it doesn’t bother me. But if you have issues with pain you should take Advil before you go and sometimes they can give you a numbing cream. Which I don’t reccomend if you have sensitive skin. I had an allergic reaction to it and got 3rd burns/scabs on my face the first time I had it done in 1998.
I would really recommend going to an actual license dermatologist for this treatment. If done improperly it can burn you and hurt your skin.
no
well im getting mine done SOOON and the laser doesnt hurt but the laser doesnt get every hair so your gonna have to get electrolysis which is plucking!! it KILLS
I am going to Ideal Image currently and so far no problems. Heres how it worked: I too, am having my face done.
1-The day of they told me not to shave because the nurse wanted to see exaclty waht she had to hit. After the first time, they say that may not be necessary. But, it depends on what you situation is like.
2- Price- depending on what you want done, the price goes up. I paid for my chip, upperneck, and sideburns. The total for all that for 9 sessions was $1435.00 It seems like a lot but when you break it down into a year of payments, its $120/month.
3- The first 5 sessions are 10 weeks apart, the last 4 are 12 weeks apart.
4- The skin was pink for about 15 minutes after the session. Long enough for me to book my next appoinment. After the treatment was done, which took 5 minutes, the murse put aloe gel on it from the fride. Nice!
5- The pain- well, to be honest, it feels like a rubberband snaped on you face- BUT there is no lingering pain. Its quick and goes by VERY fast. I couldn’t believe she was done. It was like we just started. Trust me, its worth it. And if your afaird of the pain, they can give you a numbing gel to put on before the treatments. Its really not that bad and if the hair bothers you- definately go for it. If would like some more info or have any question- send me a message. But I really think you should go in for the free consultation. Its worth it.
