My fiance had the vasectomy. Now you have been articulate about carrying children. What options do you have to conceiving the own kid but the reversal?

Yes – there is another possibility – but it is much more expensive and much more invasive then just getting a reversal.

They could do a procedure called TESE / sperm aspiration where they extract the sperm from your fiance, you would need to go through an IVF process – all the meds and have your eggs retrieved. They will then take the eggs and sperm and do a process called ICSI where they inject the sperm right into the center of the egg . . . they then wait and hope for fertilization and transfer the embryo back to you. This involves lots of needles for the both of you and a bill of around $20,000 or more with no guarantee for success . . . .

If you are serious about biological children, I would look at a reversal. Other options would be a less invasive IUI with donor sperm for you or adoption.

Best wishes!

None!

Undfortunately, reversing the vasectomy is the only option you have for him to be the biological father. Otherwise you could use donor sperm, but I dont think that what you are after.

Vasectomy reversal is not all that bad. My husband’s actually reversed itself. My brother in law had his reversed and said it wasnt bad at all.

Good plan, as reversals seldom work.

Yes, there is TESE, or sperm aspiration, followed by IVF. No matter what you are looking at $20,000.

As mentioned above, there are certainly options other than reversal.
