My father had vasectomy 15-17 years ago. We attempted IVF-ICCSI 2008 as well as we got pregnant, unfortunately we premature birth a baby. afterwards we attempted solidified cycle a year later. It didn’t success. Now we have been deliberation to have vasectomy reversal. Is annulment probable even after IVF? Dose anybody have a same experience?
Any advice, any story about it would be appreciated. Thank we in advance.

My father is 44yrs, we am 35yrs.

Sure. A vasectomy reversal doesn’t have a whole lot to do with previous reproductive therapies. It might be what is needed, although I imagine that if IVF and ICCSI have not worked, you might need a bit more help than just a vasectomy reversal. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems that you might want to try something else. The vasectomy reversal will be expensive and the success rates are less than many of the reproductive therapies themselves. I do have a cousin whose husband had a vasectomy reversal and they were pregnant less than a year later. But she had no trouble concieving a child before she was married to her now-husband. So, the situation might be slightly different. But the doc did say that my cousin was in the lower percentages, that they had gotten lucky to get pregnant so quickly.

The fact that IVF keeps failing should be a clue that there is some medical reason why you are not getting pregnant. A vasectomy reversal will still leave you depending on IVF. The only difference is you will be using his sperm that will be obtained by masturbation. I think you should slap the crap out of any doctor that would take your money like that. But that is an ethical issue. Too bad there are so few ethical doctors left. I bet they will not tell you that the average time from surgery to baby is about three years. That is something to think about. Your hubby will be 47 when the baby is born. I was just wondering why you think he is going to be OK dealing with a teenager in his house when he is over 60.

Good luck;
